Creating a custom notification rule

You can create custom notification rules.

An action will be triggered depending on the desired events.

  1. Connect to: .
  2. Go to the following menu: Settings > Notification rules.
    According to the enabled options, five tabs can be displayed:
    • Call to the IPN URL
    • SMS sent to the merchant
    • SMS sent to the buyer
    • E-mail sent to the merchant
    • E-mail sent to the buyer
  3. Select a tab from which a custom notification rule should be created.
  4. Click the Create a rule button at the bottom left corner of the screen.
  5. Select Advanced notification.

  6. Select the type of notification.
  7. Click Next.

  8. Select the trigger event(s) from the list.
    Example: Payment declined.
    The selection of an event activates the Rule conditions.
    Rule conditions allows to create a (possibly empty) list of conditions for executing the rule (depending on the trigger event). A condition consists of a variable, a relational operator and a reference value.
  9. Click on Add.
  10. Select a variable from the list.
    Variable Description
    Amount (in cents) Allows to define a condition based on the amount (in cents).
    Mode (Test/Production) Allows to define a condition based on the mode of the payment gateway (Test allows to make test payments, Production allows to make real payments).
    Payment method Allows to define a condition based on the eligible payment methods (currencies, technical constraints, etc.) associated with the shop.
    Source of the event Allows to define a condition based on the payment source:
    • Payment page
    • Return of a notification from the Back Office
    • Processing by file
    • Subscription
    • Automatic authorization process
    • Another automatic process
    • Back Office
    • Voice server
    • Automatic return of a failed notification
    Installment payment Allows to define a condition based on a payment made up of several installments:
    Blocking risk assessment Allows to define a condition based on the result of the risk control:
    • Failed
    • Successful
  11. Select an operator from the list.
    The proposed operators are specific to the selected variable:
    • equal to
    • not equal to
    • greater than
    • greater than or equal to
    • less than
    • less than or equal to
    • is on the list
    • is not on the list
  12. Select or enter a value (depending on the selected variable).
    Example:
    When a rule is executed, the value of the variable is retrieved and compared to the reference value.
    All the conditions must be validated for the rule to be executed.
  13. Click Next.
  14. Enter the Rule reference.
    The reference will be displayed in the Back Office.
    Depending on the notification type, the configuration of the communication channel will be customized.
    The fields marked with an asterisk are required.
    • Instant Payment Notification

    • SMS sent to the merchant
    • SMS sent to the buyer
    • E-mail sent to the merchant
      1. Specify the e-mail address to notify.
      2. Click on E-mail settings to customize the content of the e-mail according to your needs.
        • Click on Customize default text values.
        • Modify the text of the e-mail.
      3. Click on Fields to include to view the list of fields available for customizing the e-mail.
      4. Select the fields that you wish to include in the e-mail. A detailed summary of the processed application will be added to the contents of the email.

        Note:

        To preview the changes, click on Preview the e-mail at the bottom of the dialog box.

    • E-mail sent to the buyer
      1. Click E-mail settings to customize the content of the e-mail according to your needs.
        • Click on Customize default text values.
        • Modify the text of the e-mail.
      2. Click on Fields to include to view the list of fields available for customizing the e-mail.
      3. Select the fields that you wish to include in the e-mail. A detailed summary of the processed application will be added to the contents of the email.

        Note:

        To preview the changes, click on Preview the e-mail at the bottom of the dialog box.

  15. Click on Create.
    The created rule will be added to the list of references specific to the notification.
